Questions

The ones worth answering
before you pay a dollar.

What do I actually get for a dollar?
Lifetime access to every Gentle Collapse release. Vol I is on the streaming platforms; everything after it comes out here and to the mailing list, and nowhere else. Both projects, the solo records and the band records.
Is this a subscription?
No. One payment, once. Nothing renews, there is nothing to cancel, and you will not be charged again.
Will the new music be on Spotify?
No. Vol I is up there and will stay up, but the volumes after it are only released here. That is the point of the dollar: it pays for making them, so they do not have to earn their keep on a platform.
Why a dollar?
Because a million small things add up to something a few large things never will. A dollar is low enough that it isn't a decision, and a million people paying it is enough to make records without asking permission from anyone in between.
Is the dollar in Canadian?
Yes. The project is based on Vancouver Island and prices are in Canadian dollars, so the charge is CA$1.
Can I pay more than a dollar?
You can. The dollar is the floor, not the ask — the checkout lets you set the amount. Paying more doesn't get you more; it funds the next record sooner.
How do I get to my music after joining?
You get a link by email that signs you into your library. No password to invent or forget — ask for the link again any time and it arrives in your inbox.
What format are the downloads?
Lossless where the master allows it, and high-bitrate MP3 alongside, so the files play on anything without you having to think about it.
What if something goes wrong?
Email hello@gentlecollapse.com and a person will answer. If you paid and can't reach your music, that gets fixed or refunded — it isn't complicated enough to need a policy.

Still a dollar. Still not a subscription.
