For the price of a coffee, you get lifetime access to all current and future Gentle Collapse music. No subscriptions. No middlemen. Just music.

Vol I is on the streaming platforms. Everything after it comes out here, to members and to the mailing list, and nowhere else.

Think of it as a mix tape with no end. If you like what you hear, pass it on. That is the whole distribution plan.

And it is making something as it goes. Every member gets a square in a picture a million squares wide, fixed the moment they join and never moved again. It fills in as people arrive.

Why this exists

The platforms were never
going to pay for this.

It is not that nobody is listening. It is what a listen is worth. A play on a streaming service pays a fraction of a cent to whoever owns the recording, and the distributor is paid out of that before an artist sees any of it.

Waiting for those numbers to add up is how records stop getting made. So this does not wait for them. A lot of people, a dollar each, directly, with nobody in between — that is the whole plan, and it is the only one that has ever worked for music this size.

$0.003per playWhat one stream pays the rights holder, before the distributor takes its share.
1,000plays a yearWhat a song needs on Spotify before it earns anything at all. Below that, nothing.
$1onceWorth more here than a few hundred plays there, and it arrives from a person.

A million of them is.
