Why a picture
and not a bar.
A progress bar at a thousandth of a percent is a flat line, and a flat line says the thing is not happening. It is happening. It is just happening at the size of one person at a time, and this is what that actually looks like.
Places are scattered rather than filled in order, so the picture is never a block creeping across the top. Two people who join seconds apart land nowhere near each other. Your square is worked out from your member number and nothing else, which is why it can be promised not to move.
Members will be able to put a photograph in their square. That part is not open yet.
